WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of E&I technicians, electricians, and instrumentation specialists to ensure the timely and effective completion of; maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks.

  • Plan and schedule maintenance activities, shutdowns, and equipment upgrades in coordination with engineering teams, production personnel, and other stakeholders to minimize downtime and optimize system performance;

  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to E&I team members based on skill levels, workload, and project requirements, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure quality and efficiency in work execution;

  • Monitor the performance and productivity of E&I team members, conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and implementing training and development programs to enhance skills and competencies;

  • Review work orders, maintenance reports, and equipment histories to identify trends, patterns, and recurring issues, and develop strategies to address root causes and prevent future failures;

  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout procedures, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) usage, and electrical safety practices, to minimize risks and prevent accidents and injuries;

  • Coordinate with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure availability of spare parts, tools, and materials needed for maintenance activities, and maintain accurate inventory records;

  • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to support the implementation of capital projects, equipment upgrades, and process improvements related to electrical and instrumentation systems;

  • Communicate effectively with production supervisors, plant managers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on maintenance activities, discuss equipment performance issues, and coordinate maintenance priorities.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU

  • Proven experience as an E&I supervisor, electrical supervisor, instrumentation supervisor, or similar leadership role in an industrial environment;

  • Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, components, and equipment used in industrial settings, including motors, PLCs, sensors, transmitters, and control systems;

  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS), work order systems, and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software for scheduling, tracking, and reporting maintenance activities;

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), technical manuals, and equipment specifications;

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop E&I team members to achieve performance goals and objectives;

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex electrical and instrumentation issues and develop effective solutions;

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders;

  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to support plant operations and respond to emergency maintenance requests.
