WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Perform electrical maintenance, repair, and installation tasks onboard naval vessels, including but not limited to power distribution systems, lighting systems, communication systems, and navigation equipment;

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions to ensure the reliable operation of onboard electrical systems;

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities to identify and address potential problems before they escalate;

  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to guide maintenance and repair activities;

  • Collaborate with other members of the engineering team, including mechanical engineers, electricians, and technicians, to coordinate work and achieve project goals;

  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues;

  • Complete documentation of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment logs;

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a naval electrical mechanic or similar role, with experience working onboard naval vessels;

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, marine engineering principles, and shipboard electrical equipment;

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues and implementing effective solutions;

  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures applicable to maritime environments;

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment;

  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively;

  • Commitment to safety and adherence to established safety guidelines and procedures;
