WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Supervise and lead a team of E&I technicians, electricians, and instrumentation specialists in the execution of electrical and instrumentation tasks for civil engineering projects, such as infrastructure developments, construction projects, and public works;

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate electrical and instrumentation activities, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks, to ensure timely completion and compliance with project schedules and deadlines;

  • Interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications to understand electrical and instrumentation requirements, system layouts, and integration with civil engineering components;

  • Coordinate with civil engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to schedule electrical and instrumentation activities in alignment with overall project milestones and objectives;

  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to E&I team members, ensuring clear communication of project requirements, safety protocols, and quality standards;

  • Monitor the performance and productivity of E&I team members, providing guidance, training, and support as needed to enhance skills and capabilities;

  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks of electrical and instrumentation installations to verify compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards;

  • Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation issues, diagnose root causes of failures or malfunctions, and implement corrective actions to resolve problems and minimize downtime;

  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure availability of materials, equipment, and tools needed for electrical and instrumentation activities, maintaining accurate inventory records.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU

  • Proven experience as an E&I foreman, electrical foreman, instrumentation foreman, or similar leadership role in civil engineering projects;

  • Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, components, and equipment used in civil engineering projects, including familiarity with industry standards and best practices;

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting project plans, blueprints, and specifications to understand electrical and instrumentation requirements and integration with civil engineering components;

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop E&I team members to achieve project goals and objectives;

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to team members, project stakeholders, and subcontractors;

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations, identify solutions, and implement effective actions in a dynamic construction environment;

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, project requirements, and site conditions, while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and productivity;

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and subcontractors to achieve common objectives;

  • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods, in outdoor environments and construction sites.
