WHAT WILL YOU DO

Instrument Installation

Mount and install a variety of instruments, including pressure gauges, temperature sensors, flow meters, and control valves.

Run conduit and tubing to connect instruments to control panels and systems.

Ensure precise alignment and calibration of instruments for accurate readings and optimal control.

System Troubleshooting and Maintenance

Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with instruments and control systems to identify and address faults promptly.

Conduct routine maintenance checks on instruments to ensure proper functionality and performance.

Calibrate instruments regularly to maintain accuracy and reliability in measurements.

Reading and Interpreting Technical Drawings

Study and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications to understand installation requirements.

Utilize technical documentation to select appropriate materials, tools, and equipment for installation and maintenance tasks.

Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to integrate instruments into larger systems effectively.

Documentation

Maintain accurate records of instrument installations, calibrations, and maintenance activities.

Generate reports on system performance, highlighting any issues or recommendations for improvements.

Safety Compliance

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all installation and maintenance activities.

Identify potential safety hazards and take corrective actions to mitigate risks.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU

  • Proven experience as an Instrument Fitter or in a similar role.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.

  • Knowledge of various types of instruments and control systems.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and address issues effectively.

  • Familiarity with calibration procedures and techniques.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in work.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

Assist in the installation of trim, molding, and other decorative elements to enhance the appearance of interior spaces;
Aid in the preparation and installation of cabinetry, shelving, and other built-in fixtures according to project specifications and design plans;
Support the hanging of doors, windows, and hardware, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and functionality;
Assist with wood staining, painting, and finishing techniques to protect and enhance the natural beauty of wood surfaces;
Help with the installation and finishing of flooring materials, including hardwood, laminate, tile, and vinyl, with attention to detail and craftsmanship;
Assist in the construction and installation of custom furniture pieces, such as bookcases, benches, and entertainment centers, under the guidance of experienced carpenters;
Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, plumbers, and painters, to coordinate work activities and ensure seamless project execution;
Learn to use hand and power tools, including saws, drills, sanders, and nail guns, safely and effectively to perform carpentry tasks;
Follow safety regulations and guidelines on job sites, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to established safety protocols.

WHAT WE EXPECT

  • Previous experience in construction or related field preferred, with exposure to finishing carpentry considered a plus;
  • Basic knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills;
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude;
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods;
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing work of the highest quality.
