WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • The main responsibilities for this position include the installation of steel, stainless steel (RVS), and Cunifer piping systems
  • Read and interpret technical drawings
  • Transport materials onboard and independently install piping systems
  • Install piping supports in coordination with the foreman
  • Perform tack welding on pipes
  • Fabricate and weld brackets at the workbench
  • Work closely with the team, ensuring the work is completed to high-quality standards and according to project specifications

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU

  • Knowledge of materials (Steel, Stainless Steel (RVS), Cunifer) and pipefitting techniques
  • Cutting lengths, fitting thin-walled pipes, and bending pipes (using bending pump/machine)
  • Assembling flange connections, elbows, and pipe components
  • Installing components, fittings, and piping supports (in coordination with foreman)
  • Tack welding (TIG) and fabricating/welding brackets
  • Cutting, beveling, transferring heat numbers, and preparing weld seams
  • Metalworking (sawing and grinding)
  • Reading and interpreting isometric drawings and P&ID diagrams
    Familiarity with pipe fittings, flanges, gaskets, stud bolts, schedules, pressure classes, and couplings
  • Experience with Geberit Mapress
  • Fluent in English
  • Previous pipefitting experience in the naval industry

WHAT WILL YOU DO

Assist in the installation of trim, molding, and other decorative elements to enhance the appearance of interior spaces;
Aid in the preparation and installation of cabinetry, shelving, and other built-in fixtures according to project specifications and design plans;
Support the hanging of doors, windows, and hardware, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and functionality;
Assist with wood staining, painting, and finishing techniques to protect and enhance the natural beauty of wood surfaces;
Help with the installation and finishing of flooring materials, including hardwood, laminate, tile, and vinyl, with attention to detail and craftsmanship;
Assist in the construction and installation of custom furniture pieces, such as bookcases, benches, and entertainment centers, under the guidance of experienced carpenters;
Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, plumbers, and painters, to coordinate work activities and ensure seamless project execution;
Learn to use hand and power tools, including saws, drills, sanders, and nail guns, safely and effectively to perform carpentry tasks;
Follow safety regulations and guidelines on job sites, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to established safety protocols.

WHAT WE EXPECT

  • Previous experience in construction or related field preferred, with exposure to finishing carpentry considered a plus;
  • Basic knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills;
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude;
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods;
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing work of the highest quality.
