WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Supervise and coordinate scaffolding crews in the planning, layout, assembly, erection, inspection, and dismantling of scaffolding structures according to project specifications and safety standards;

  • Ensure that scaffolding operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and industry standards;

  • Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding structures to identify defects, damage, or safety hazards, and take corrective action as needed;

  • Train and mentor scaffolding crews on proper scaffolding techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures;

  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to plan and schedule scaffolding activities effectively and ensure timely completion of projects;

  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols and procedures at all times, including conducting safety meetings, enforcing safety policies, and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE);

  • Maintain accurate records of scaffolding activities, including inspection reports, work orders, equipment inventories, and safety documentation;

  • Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management to ensure clear understanding of project requirements and expectations.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU

  • Valid scaffolding certification or relevant trade certification;

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a scaffolder;

  • Strong understanding of scaffolding techniques, equipment, and safety procedures;

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills;

  • Ability to work comfortably at heights and in various weather conditions;

  • Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods;

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
