WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation equipment such as sensors, transmitters, analyzers, and control valves according to engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Assemble, fit, and align instrumentation components and devices using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with instrumentation systems, including analyzing data, testing components, and identifying root causes of malfunctions.

  • Repair or replace faulty instrumentation components, wiring, or tubing to restore functionality and accuracy to instrumentation systems.

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on instrumentation equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other team members to plan and execute instrumentation projects and upgrades.

  • Adhere to safety regulations and standards at all times, including following lockout/tagout procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Keep accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs, service reports, and equipment inventories.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU

  • Technical degree or certificate in instrumentation technology or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an instrumentation fitter or technician in an industrial environment.

  • Strong understanding of instrumentation principles, including pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurement.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.

  • Experience with precision fitting and assembly techniques using hand tools and power tools.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments.
