WHAT WE OFFER YOU

WHAT WILL YOU DO

  1. Assist in the preparation and setup of construction sites for roadwork, including traffic control measures, signage placement, and safety barriers;

  2. Perform manual labor tasks, such as shoveling, raking, and lifting, to assist with excavation, grading, and earthmoving activities;

  3. Operate hand tools and small equipment, such as jackhammers, compactors, and power saws, safely and effectively to perform roadwork tasks;

  4. Assist in the installation of drainage systems, including culverts, ditches, and stormwater management features, to prevent erosion and flooding;

  5. Assist in the placement and compaction of base materials, such as gravel and asphalt, to prepare surfaces for paving and resurfacing;

  6. Assist in the operation of paving equipment, such as asphalt spreaders and rollers, to lay and compact asphalt and other road surfacing materials;

  7. Perform patching and repair tasks on existing road surfaces, including filling potholes, repairing cracks, and replacing damaged sections;

  8. Assist in the installation of road signs, markings, and traffic control devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards;

  9. Follow safety regulations and guidelines on job sites, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to established safety protocols.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU

  • Previous experience in road construction, maintenance, or a related field preferred;

  • Ability to perform physical labor and work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment;

  • Familiarity with road construction techniques, materials, and equipment, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills;

  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members;

  • Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods;

  • Valid driver's license is preferable
