Supervise and coordinate the activities of finishing carpenters, including trim carpenters, cabinetmakers, and furniture builders, to ensure that work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and timelines;
Provide hands-on leadership and technical guidance to finishing carpentry team members, including training, mentoring, and coaching as needed;
Oversee the setup and preparation of construction sites for finishing carpentry work, including the installation of trim, cabinetry, and built-in fixtures.;
Monitor the progress of finishing carpentry projects, ensuring that work is completed on schedule and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality;
Inspect completed work to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements, making adjustments as needed;
Coordinate with project managers, architects, designers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues, address challenges, and ensure smooth project execution;
Enforce safety regulations and guidelines on job sites, conducting regular safety inspections and promoting a culture of safety awareness among team members;
Manage material inventory, equipment usage, and resource allocation to optimize productivity and minimize waste;
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily progress reports, timesheets, and quality control documentation.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in finishing carpentry or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role;
Extensive knowledge of finishing carpentry techniques, materials, and equipment, with a proven track record of successful project completion;
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project goals;
Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills, with the ability to effectively manage challenges and overcome obstacles;
Thorough understanding of construction plans, specifications, and safety regulations, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance.
